Our purpose is great care every day.About your opportunity: The position will participate in management of general paediatric inpatient services, and will participate with ward service and on-call duties for acute paediatrics. To support pathways for children in the community who require paediatric care, the position will conduct clinics in general paediatrics and community paediatrics and provide outreach and community services as required. The position will participate in the child protection roster including when on call and when providing acute ward service.The position is required to teach and supervise junior doctors and to supervise RACP paediatric trainees. Subspecialty interest and/or qualification is supported and encouraged along with work in general paediatrics.Role requirements:Qualified as a medical practitioner, qualifications in specialty areas + current registration as a paediatric specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians with General Paediatrics.All applicants must be awarded Scope of Clinical Practice (SoCP) by the Townsville HHS Credentialing and SoCP committee. All appointments are subject to maintenance of SoCP within the CSCF for the facilities in which clinical work is to be undertaken.'C' class motor vehicle licence.Generous remuneration package value up to $248,457 p.a (+ other applicable allowances/benefits) comprising salary range of $100.78 to $127.77 p.h.
