THE ROLE We are looking for an experienced, talented and motivated individual to join the Commission for Gender Equality in the Public Sector as Senior Speechwriter and Communications Advisor.
In this critical role, you will support the Public Sector Gender Equality Commissioner to implement the ground-breaking Gender Equality Act 2020 designed to improve gender equality outcomes for the Victorian public sector, and wider Victorian community.
As the Senior Speechwriter and Communications Advisor, you will be responsible for developing a range of communications materials, including speeches, presentations, Q&As, Op Eds, and social media content for the Commissioner, Minister for Women, and Commission.
You will work closely with the Commissioner and Director to ensure communications are tailored to a range of audiences and engage a range of stakeholders.
You will also proactively pursue opportunities within the Victorian and national media landscape to promote and advance the objectives of the Gender Equality Act.
This role requires someone with a passion for crafting compelling content and an understanding of the importance of progressing gender equality, combined with solid experience in writing for a range of audiences.
Additional experience in delivering engaging written communication in a complex public policy environment, or previous media liaison experience will be desirable.
