This role is based within the university's Office of Global Affairs.
The Office of Global Affairs is responsible for developing and implementing our global engagement strategy and deepening existing international links to maximise UNSW's contributions around the world.
Why your Role Matters
As International Relations Manager, you will lead program coordination and engagement activities that showcase UNSW's academic and research excellence and strengthen its international ties.
You'll work closely with stakeholders across the University to coordinate inbound and outbound visits, including the management of diplomatic events, receptions, and visits from across the world, to facilitate research partnerships, academic collaborations, and student participation to further promote the university.
You'll also play a key role in proactively supporting the Head of International Relations, contributing to our international diplomatic relations strategy and engagement, both within Australia and internationally.
Through high-quality reporting and analytics on diplomatic and international policy issues, you'll be identifying activities and opportunities for engagement and supporting projects and programs overseen by the Head of International Relations to raise UNSW's profile and enhance diplomatic relations.
Skills and Experience summary
You will hold a relevant qualification (international relations/communications), or equivalent level of knowledge and experience in this area to engage with people from across the world.
You'll bring practiced relationship building skills and confidence in stakeholder management to ensure the success of these meetings and ongoing strategic objectives of DVC Global, alongside:
Project management experience with high level administrative and organisational skills and the proven ability to deal with multiple tasks and follow through on goals.Strong written communication experience, with a high level of attention to detail for reports, presentations and council papers.Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated cross-cultural sensitivity and awareness combined with the ability to liaise effectively across cultural boundaries.Ability to speak a second language is desirable (but not a requirement).Benefits and Culture:
