The Senior Allied Health Clinician will be responsible for providing support through consultation, and education to the nurse home visitor team, to promote optimal health, wellbeing, growth, and development of the child and the health and wellbeing of the parents. Selection Criteria Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, or Dietetics; and be AHPRA registered or have eligibility for membership to the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, Physiotherapy Board of Australia, Speech Pathology Australia, or Dieticians Association of Australia. Demonstrated high level advanced therapeutic skills in providing clinical care to vulnerable families, including perinatally and birth to age 2. Demonstrated high level ability to utilise problem solving skills and a multidisciplinary team approach in planning, design, delivery and coordination of patient care. Extensive demonstrated post graduate experience in providing paediatric occupational therapy, physiotherapy or speech pathology to babies and children 0-2 years whilst dieticians must have demonstrated knowledge of paediatric experience and extensive experience of providing therapeutic intervention during pregnancy. Demonstrated experience in providing clinical consultation and facilitating case reviews, in the contact of family centred casework within a community based multidisciplinary team. Extensive demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining co-operative professional relationships, with other health teams, government and non government organisations through the use of well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills with high level time management, organisational skills and computer literacy. Evidence of current unrestricted drivers licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
