Enjoy a healthy work life balance in this ongoing roleWork with a very motivated and supportive teamAs the Senior Spatial Analyst and Cartographer, you will provide specialist support for the creation and delivery of business information to Parks Victoria. This information will be delivered primarily (but not exclusively) as map products. You will also be responsible for collating data updates communicated by the business and escalate changes to management for implementation in corporate datasets and undertake credible. This will involve targeted and timely spatial analysis utilising Parks Victoria's spatial systems to provide quality data and information to meet business needs. You will also assist the Team in the delivery of spatial training to all Parks Victoria staff.
About us: The Information Technology Services (ITS) Division is responsible for providing Information Technology services and solutions to Parks Victoria at approximately 120 sites over Victoria and 1200 users.
This position is part of the Information and Spatial Services Team. The purpose of the Information and Spatial Services Team is to support the business to achieve its goals by providing expert advice, knowledge and services in the provision of information and spatial services. This includes management of business data, management of spatial systems, and creation and delivery of quality information to support Parks Victoria's delivery of park management services.
We're looking for someone with: Tertiary qualification in Cartography, Geomatics or a related field and/or equivalent combination of experience and education.Advanced skills in the use of GIS for mapping and well-developed spatial analysis skillsStrong conceptual and logical thinking and well-developed analytical skillsKnowledge and experience in the use of desktop publishing tools for cartographyYour application will need to include: A Current ResumeApplication Close date: Sunday 07 July 2024
