THE OPPORTUNITY This is your chance to be part of life changing drug development for our patients. You will be commercially focused, an exceptional team player, you will liaise and build strong working relationships with internal and external customers, support the implementation of new systems/processes and ensure the smooth running of our projects at your assigned trials sites.
Our current areas of focus are Oncology/Haematology, Infectious Diseases & Vaccines, Immunology, Cardiovascular Disease, and Neuroscience.
Reporting to the Manager, Site Contracting you'll lead in preparing, negotiating, and finalising agreements and budgets related to clinical trials and/or overseeing a Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) responsible for contract negotiations. Provide support to the clinical team in the pricing, planning, execution and control of site/investigator budgets and contracts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, negotiate, and finalize clinical trial agreements for company sponsoredParticipate in discussions related to the development of site/investigator budgets aligned with fair market valueManage the contract amendment lifecycleWork with the global CCS team as necessary to review and analyse contractual terms to reach resolutionWork proactively to improve processes and establish refinements that reduce cycle time, create savings and improve efficiency in the initiation of clinical trial sites. Mentor and train new contract coordinators and analystsAssess risks of budget and legal provisions in conjunction with members of the CCS team and support functions. Escalate any issues as appropriate
Comply with requests from QA and auditors Qualifications 3 to 5 years-experience and/or equivalent competencies in pharmaceutical industry/clinical researchDegree in Science, Nursing or Life SciencesA strategic mindset with generous competitor awarenessHigh-level EQ that facilitates you working well autonomously and as part of a team; and personal commitment to being the best you can be, for our patients, our customers and our companyExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsUnderstanding of the clinical development processHighly experienced in contract negotiation for clinical trials across phases 1 to 3 is essentialAbility to work effectively in cross-function teams
