About the role As a Senior Security Engineer in our Security Platforms team, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our business.
You will work closely with our technology and business teams to design, implement, and maintain security platforms critical to our enterprise.
This role spans identity management, email and web security, endpoint detection and response (EDR), vulnerability scanning, and much more.
You will help build and run security platforms that not only defend but also enable Reece Group to operate securely in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
As a senior member of the team, you'll also mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement across our security operations.
Key Responsibilities: Build and Run: Deploy, manage, and optimize security tools and technologies both on-premises and in the cloud.
Customer Focus: Monitor and respond to operational alerts, ensuring timely resolution while minimizing business impact.
Continuous Improvement : Review the effectiveness of security tooling and recommend improvements.
Automation & Innovation : Develop and maintain automation through CI/CD tooling, improving efficiency and resilience across platforms.
Documentation : Ensure comprehensive documentation of all implemented security solutions and processes.
Mentorship : Guide and mentor team members to foster growth and improve security practices.
About You: Security Expertise : You have 5+ years of experience working with security tools such as Vulnerability scanning, SEG, SWG/CASB, IPS/IDS, and EDR, alongside experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
Technical Prowess : You understand security standards (e.g., NIST, ISO27001), and have experience with identity protocols, software development patterns, and CI/CD pipelines.
Automation Focused : You have hands-on experience with automation, configuration, reporting/metrics and compliance.
Problem Solver : You thrive in solving security threats, incidents, and vulnerabilities through proactive solutions.
Mentor & Leader : You enjoy helping others grow while driving continuous improvement within the team.
