Your RoleCSL are hiring a Senior Scientist within Biopharmaceutical Product Development (BPD) for a 12-month fixed term contract.The Senior Scientist, in Immunoanalytics has accountability for the development and characterisation of mAbs for Seqirus' SARS-CoV2 and influenza vaccine platforms.You will provide a high level of scientific and technical expertise for the Surveillance and Vaccine Development group to support innovation and delivery of BPD/SVVD objectives, engagement with stakeholders at a local and international level, and to support departmental compliance.Your ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Associate Director, Immunoanalytics you will be responsible for:Monoclonal antibody (mAb) generation via established hybridoma process.Ensuring delivery of mAbs to support SARS-CoV2 and Influenza vaccine programs (development and life cycle management) and other CSL products as required.Animal ethics compliance.Supporting the characterisation of mAbs, expression of recombinant proteins and optimisation of immunoanalytics for Seqirus' SARS-CoV2 and influenza vaccine platforms.Develop/implement and run analytics to support SARS-CoV2 surveillance within BPD.Provision of scientific and technical guidance for Surveillance and Vaccine Development group activities.Staff development to increase scientific and technical capability of Surveillance and Vaccine Development group and training less experienced scientists as required.Your ExperienceDegree and/or experience in relevant discipline, PhD preferred.5+ years' experience in relevant field/industry.Practical expertise in the areas of virology, immunology, molecular biology, cell culture, analytical assay development or process development.Extensive experience in immunoassays and analytical development.Extensive experience with small animal models.Practical experience & expertise raising mAbs via hybridoma method.Experience with animal ethics applications and compliance.Ability to drive and deliver ongoing documentation and/or process improvements.Understanding of the timing requirements for the delivery of seasonal and pandemic influenza, and SARS-CoV2 vaccinesTo apply, submit your CV no later than Monday 16th January 2024.Our BenefitsCSL Seqirus is committed to attracting and retaining world-class employees who are valued for their contributions to achieving business objectives.
