Community Care Team South, Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services are looking for a Senior Psychologist to join their team. The purpose of this role is to provide Senior Clinical Psychology services as part of the Princess Alexandra Hospital Community Care Team South, focusing on improving health outcomes for adults with severe and complex mental health issues. This involves delivering evidence-based clinical services, contributing to service development and quality improvement, and providing supervision and training to less experienced clinicians and students.
About the Role:
Manage an allocated workload to deliver Psychology services, including assessment, intervention and evaluation within an interprofessional team in accordance with established clinical & departmental protocols, policies and procedures, utilising evidence-based practice and ethical standards and under clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of more senior staff.Liaise and work effectively in a professional manner with clients and their carers, other health professionals, students and external agencies to achieve a client centred approach, utilising negotiation and conflict resolution skills as required.Continually develop clinical practice knowledge, skills and expertise through self-directed learning, active learning within a team environment and engaging in professional development activities, including participating in the performance appraisal and development plans.Provide clinical leadership and demonstrate high level management skills in monitoring and prioritising workload demands to initiate, develop, and implement quality strategies that will enhance the delivery of work unit and profession specific clinical services.Our values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Engagement and Excellence, shape our culture within Metro South Health.
