The Senior Project Officer will work closely with the SQCP-S2 Project Delivery teams through the Operations Lead to provide trusted and reliable project administration support. This role will contribute to the implementation of critical path Operations activities and support the coordination and delivery of all operations project outputs for the commissioning of SQCP-S2.
Develop and implement best practice project management principles, practices, methodologies, and tools to assess, design, develop, implement, and evaluate statewide project activities to facilitate effective project delivery within tight deadlines and with competing priorities and demands.
Support the SQCP-S2 Operations project team with the coordination of qualitative and quantitative data-collection, analysis, and consultation to inform resource recommendations and support the delivery of key project initiatives.
Assess and monitor the quality of project activity tracking, identify relevant trends and issues, and develop strategies to improve the quality and consistency of information provided to the SQCPS2 Operations project team.
Design and implement effective and coordinated project communication and engagement activities to support the SQCPS2 Operations project team.
Ensure the SQCPS2 Operations project team administers and maintains consistent standards for document control, information management and record management across all project streams and information used in both internal and external reports.
Set realistic goals and establish balanced work priorities, implement innovative work improvements to successfully coordinate concurrent project activity to manage competing demands and meet project deadlines.
Schedule Project Meetings or workshops, including provision of pre-read and follow-up documentation, capture agenda, actions and minutes and distribution of same, ensure completion of meeting follow up actions, administer Issues and Risk Registers and monitor associated updates.
Support the SQCPS2 Operations project team to prepare high quality reports, submissions, briefing notes and presentations on designated project initiatives and outcomes, risks and recommendations.
Utilise information technology and data management systems in the preparation of reports, submissions, briefing notes and presentations and other documentation as required within the work stream.
Work cooperatively within the broader SQCPS2 project team offering technical expertise, advice and support on all project work as required by the Project Directors and Project Managers.
Work autonomously, and as a member of a high functioning and collegial team; and be adaptable and flexible to deal with and manage competing priorities.
Ensure the timely provision of communication and advice to relevant staff and key stakeholders.
Contribute to developing a workplace environment that values performance, continuous improvement, and innovation in the delivery of high-quality services.
Undertake any other project management related duties as assigned by the Project Director and Project Manager.
