Reporting to the Principal Project Officer, you will be responsible for managing the definition, documentation and successful completion of a medium scale project in line with Queensland Health project management methodologies.
In addition to this, you will:
Promote and ensure use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools, including benefits realisation and risk and issue management, to ensure quality project outcomes are delivered.Manage, monitor and report on project related trends and performance against project plans and schedules.Manage and monitor resources, expenses and capital costs against the project forecasts.Initiate, influence and maintain relationships with and between key internal and external stakeholders, facilitate effective communication channels to promote the successful adoption of change within the business, and foster relationships through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.Is this the opportunity for you? To be successful in the role, you will have proven experience in a medium scale IM/ICT project management environment, preferably in the health care industry (SFIA Skill: PRMG: Level 5) and proven ability to develop and manage one or more defined communication channels and/or stakeholder groups, and facilitate the business change decision-making processes, and the planning and implementation of change.

Furthermore, you will have an understanding of appropriate project management methodologies (preferably PRINCE2), and an ability to promote and provide advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools (SFIA Skill: METL: Level 5) and proven effective negotiation, consultation, facilitation, written and oral communication skills for use in a complex project environment.
