Management (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) The Regional Economic Development business unit is committed to the delivery of the Government's objectives for the community, particularly to 'create jobs in a strong economy' and 'be a responsive government' that supports the growth of regional manufacturing and growing regional economies.
The unit partners with the manufacturing industry to drive increased productivity and international competitiveness and to position Queensland as a leader, nationally and internationally.
Through the Manufacturing Hub network, we provide a place for local manufacturing businesses to receive expert advice and support to build capability and capacity to transition to advanced manufacturing.
This Role
As part of the Manufacturing Development team, this role will work across the Department and government to support the delivery of grant and capability building programs that deliver outcomes to support the economic growth and sustainment of Queensland's manufacturing industry.
This role will have a strong focus on program development and delivery.
Key Accountabilities Assist the Program Manager and Manufacturing Development team in the development of program planning documents, assessment frameworks and evaluation methodologies in the preparation and delivery of manufacturing workshops, seminars, events and grant programs.Undertake administrative duties to support the programs and their objectives.Provide support for the Manufacturing team in the preparation of program documentation, including project assessment and analytical methodologies, project planning and reporting.Assist in the preparation of reports, submissions, briefing notes, presentations, publications and correspondence and documents supporting the preparation of manufacturing workshops, seminars, events and grant programs and other team projects.Coordinate consultation and engagement with internal and external stakeholders including other State agencies, Australian Government agencies, Government owned corporations, local government energy providers and other stakeholders in the manufacturing industry and their representative bodies or groups.Assist in identifying emerging issues and when required, analyse datasets from external sources, prepare advice on manufacturing data, program and project assessment and management issues in delivering the Advanced Manufacturing Roadmap objectives.About You
We are looking for someone who ideally has experience in project delivery and an understanding of government processes, particularly in stakeholder consultation.
While not essential, experience in grants management and using tools like Power BI would be highly regarded.
Strong communication skills, along with being self-motivated, organised and analytical will help you succeed in this role.
