For more information about the department, please visit our website at www.qed.qld.gov.au Your Opportunity  As the Senior Project Officer, you will: Manage the development, implementation and monitoring of project plans and phases, including the coordination of various activities and resources associated with achieving the project objectives.
Manage liaison, communication and coordination with other teams across the department contributing to the project.
The Senior Project Officer reports to the Manager Performance and Reporting, Organisational Safety and Wellbeing.
The role Appointments in the public sector are merit-based and will be assessed by looking at what you have done previously—the knowledge, skills and experience you have built and your personal qualities.
Responsibilities include: Lead development, implementation and monitoring of HSW project plans and phases, including the coordination of various activities and resources associated with achieving the project objectives.
Lead consultation, communication and coordination with other teams across the department contributing to the project.
Undertake project planning, analysis, integrate HSW project activities and evaluate the impact of projects and initiatives.
Assist in coordinating, organising and promoting the activities identified within the program.
Participate in action monitoring committees that report to the Executive HSW Committee Provide technical HSW project advice, information and status, including preparation of correspondence, policy responses, speeches, articles, media releases and briefings as required.
Additional information Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications required for this position, it would be highly desirable for the successful applicant to possess:  A Certificate IV, Diploma or higher in Workplace, Health and Safety and experience in the development of Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management System documents and/or auditing against ISO 45001 Competencies – How you may be assessed Vision: Leads strategically – thinks critically and acts on the broader purpose of the system.
