The purpose of the Senior Project Officer is to manage projects (low to medium complexity) including engagement with key business and technical stakeholders, facilitating scope definition, and developing the required project products, facilitate organisational change management and tracking of milestones and costs.
As the Senior Project Officer, some of your responsibilities will include:
• Plan, manage and deliver the project activities and resources to achieve the required outcomes within the project timeframes and budget with high standards of professionalism and ethics.
• Liaise closely with both internal and external stakeholders, and senior executives.
• Identify, assess and manage risks, issues, dependencies, priorities, progress to milestones and budget, address conflicts and provide regular and accurate reporting to stakeholders.
• Responsible and accountable for managing the project using a collaborative approach with impacted internal and external stakeholders, ensuring appropriate communication and organisation change management is in place.
• Produce project management products to ensure that the overall delivery approach is clearly described, appropriate and in accordance with TMR and government standards.
• Ensure appropriate project governance and assurance activities are in place for the project including the development and maintenance of project schedules and registers.
Requirements of the role:
• Experience in working as a member of a project team/s.
• Experience in working in organisational change management.
