About the RoleThey are currently seeking a Senior Project Officer with construction, communications, and policy development experience to join their team in Lismore with flexibility to work from home a few days per week. This is an estimated 3-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.
Working within the Adaptation Mitigation & Reconstruction business unit, you will be required to contribute to the design, implementation, and management of communications and policy development projects relating to reconstruction to ensure service delivery outcomes.
Responsibilities
End to end project management including design, implementation, and evaluation. Track, monitor, and report on project scope, plans, status updates, milestones, budgets, and deliverables. Schedule, coordinate, attend, and participate in project committees, meetings, seminars, and conferences. Preparation of high-level project documentation including action items, agendas, briefs, correspondence, minutes, presentation material, and reports. Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships facilitating engagement, consultation, negotiation, collaboration, and contribution of ideas. Source and compile information to support informed decision-making outcomes. Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends, issues, and mitigating risks. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements.
About You
Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written. Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Solid analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines. Proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite and TRIM.
Requirements
Demonstrated Policy, Communications, Project, or Program Management experience. Construction, Emergency, Disaster Response, or Public Sector experience highly advantageous. Willingness to undergo a National Police Check. Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment.
