A newly created role for a Project Lead to join our Spatial Futures Project. Over the next two years, you will lead this project to streamline business processes, uplifting our capabilities to modernize our environment of the ways we work and applications we use. Ensuring the needs of all users, you will engage with the project management team on behalf of user needs and deliverables to meet the expectations outlined in the Delivery Approval Business Case (DABC).
Benefit Realization and Reporting: Ensure expected benefits from the program are realized, including financial savings, asset management improvements, and enhancements to user and customer experience. Monitor and report to Sponsors, Project Steering Group, and Project Delivery Group on issues and progress towards milestones, deliverables, and benefits.
Risk and Stakeholder Management: Identify, monitor, report, and collaborate on the management of risks and issues associated with project delivery. Engage, inform, influence, and negotiate with key stakeholders to ensure effective engagement and continuous alignment of delivery with required strategic and operational outcomes.
Business Analysis and Process Design: Input and validate business analysis, process design, benefits management, data migration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) with users. Resolve user requirements and priority conflicts.
Collaboration and Resource Management: Ensure that any user resources required for the project (e.g., to undertake user quality inspections and product approval) are made available. Engage with SMEs and key stakeholders to ensure input from experts and key user groups informs delivery. Collaborate with data and test streams for planning and delivery of data activities and UAT.
Governance and Change Management: Comply with Sydney Water governance processes to ensure stakeholders have a clear understanding of their role in delivery and that the required decision-making and escalation processes are in place. Collaborate with change management to ensure business change needs are met (change strategy, business readiness, impact assessment, communication plan, training plan).
Essential Criteria: Tertiary qualifications in information management, engineering, information technology or a related discipline, or relevant experience in information management. Understanding of the requirements for total quality management, including quality assurance, service assessment, continuous improvement, and environmental management. Demonstrated experience working with asset and/or spatial data in utility or similar industry or asset management focused environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate data and information management concepts into business terms, use cases, and business benefits. Experience with varied Project Management methodologies including PRINCE 2, Agile, SCRUM.
