Senior Project Manager - Qld Construction & Development Group (Industrial Focus)

The Client:
My client is a leading QLD-owned diversified commercial construction and development group that specialise in the delivery of construction and development projects across the commercial mixed-use, multi-res/student accommodation, large-format retail, industrial/logistics, defence/aviation, civic/government, tertiary education, healthcare/hospital, and retirement/aged-care sectors valued up to 100mil.
This group leverages strong repeat relationships with a variety of institutional blue-chip clients, resulting in a consolidated pipeline of negotiated work / property funds, developers, freight & logistics companies / ESR, Startrack, Australia Post, Goodman, Brisbane Airport Corp, Dexus, Startrack, Logos, Woolworths, BP, Shell, and Stockwell just to name a few.
The Role:
As Senior Project Manager, you will have end-to-end involvement in the management of complex redevelopment and new build construction projects, being engaged throughout the associated preconstruction, ECI, D&C and delivery processes.
As well as managing the construction delivery of projects, you will work alongside the group's QLD Preconstruction Manager and Project Director to negotiate and secure projects with key clients.
Operating in a client facing capacity, you will be responsible for the review and negotiation of contracts to mitigate associated commercial risk, while managing the project team to ensure delivery deadlines are achieved inline with contractual and budgetary requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Demonstrated experience managing the delivery of complex commercial mixed-use and/or industrial construction projects.
Fundamental understanding of complex technical construction methodology (civil, piling, structure etc) and commercial contract management/associated commercial risk mitigation strategies.
Experience leading the associated ECI, D&C and Negotiated Work processes to successfully secure and deliver projects.
