An exciting opportunity exists to join Knox City Council as a Senior Project Manager within the Building and Major Projects Team. This is an excellent opportunity to join our growing team and assist in the delivery of building and major projects. Examples of projects you may be involved in include: Tormore Pavilion Redevelopment and other sporting pavilion upgrades. Reporting to the Coordinator Building and Major Projects, this role will assist in the delivery of capital works projects nominated within the Building and Major Projects program of works.
The position is a full-time permanent role based at our Civic Centre with hybrid working arrangements and a range of flexible work options for the right candidate. The role includes access to Tool of Trade vehicle.
This is a Band 7 classified role, remuneration will be $107,507.54 - $120,572.47 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
What you will need to thrive Extensive experience in project design and delivery/construction management of buildings and major infrastructure projects; and extensive experience in project management and contract administration.Demonstrated commitment to displaying the organisation's values.Ability to analyse problems and make informed decisions on a day to day basis.Demonstrated skills in financial and budget management.Strong organisational and process documentation skills.Ability to develop project briefs, undertake feasibility studies, oversee and drive the development of concept plans and detailed designs.Ability to manage architects, civil engineering and other specialist consultants on a day to day basis without supervision.Ability to supervise contractors for major building and civil works, ensuring projects are delivered within budget, quality and time constraints.Strong consultation and liaison skills including the ability to consult with the public, key stakeholders and various external providers.Written communication skills in the preparation of reports, correspondence and contract documents.How to apply Please provide a resume and brief cover letter addressing the 'what you need to thrive' section from the position description to outline how your experience and skills relate to the role.
