Senior Project Manager

As a Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of Projects to achieve business and IT outcomes within scope, time, and budget constraints. Here, you'll be inspired and challenged to grow alongside us.We're committed to reconciliation and supporting the self-determined role for Traditional Owners/Custodians in water and land management.Your key responsibilities:Use sound judgment and expertise to deliver project/programs on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.Effectively manage stakeholders, project teams, dependencies and vendors to ensure alignment with agreed goals and desired outcomes.Oversee commercial and contractual aspects, including budgets and supplier management, ensuring project profitability and compliance.Collaborate with stakeholders, including business units and suppliers, to ensure that any changes to scope, cost, or timeline are fully understood, communicated, and approved by steerco's or equivalent before moving forward.Proactively manage and escalate risks, resolve conflicts, and address issues to maintain project momentum and quality.Develop, maintain, and adjust detailed project schedules and work plans as needed to accommodate evolving project requirements.Contribute to the continuous improvement of YVW's Project Methodologies and adhere to the Enterprise Delivery Framework.What we're looking for:Proven experience in leading large-scale enterprise-wide IT projects/programs, including Software implementation/adoption projects, systems integration and ERP implementations, with a focus on delivering complex solutions.Strong interpersonal skills, fostering a people-driven work culture through effective communication and an approachable demeanour that encourages collaboration.Ideally you have experience contributing to process optimisation and have worked within a practice.Tertiary education or relevant experience with significant IT component and a current project management certification.Experience delivering projects using multi-disciplined methodologies.Experience in managing complex projects including multiple interfaces, dependencies, multiple suppliers, and vendor management.Experience in tender/RFP/RFQ preparation, evaluation, contract preparation, and management - bonus if you have experience with this for Government organisations.Experience in developing and presenting business cases/justifications / cost-benefit analyses/project approvals.Understanding and demonstrated ability to manage business change.Further:To be successful in the permanent role, a strong background in Operational Technology (OT), with expertise in managing complex SCADA, PLC, and RTU upgrade and replacement projects would be advantageous.To be successful in the 2 year maximum term role, you will ideally have Salesforce Cloud based delivery experience to be able to hit the ground running on the project.To be successful in the 1 year maximum term role, experience in finance, HR, Payroll and Procurement domains and systems will be advantageous.To view the full position description, click HERE.Why Yarra Valley Water?We celebrate and encourage new thinking at every level.
