About us The Department of Government Services (DGS) wasestablishedon 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government.We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses.We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.
About the role The Regulatory Transaction Services (RTS) provides business and occupational licensing and not-for-profit registration services to Victorians. The RTS operational functions are supported by the Business Services and various project teams.
The technical project team is focused on driving the RTS's contribution to making CAV a more efficient and effective regulator. Its primary focus is gaining the greatest advantage from current and emerging technologies as well as building on CAV's current ICT environment.
In additional to leading the technical project team, the Senior Project Manager is also responsible for digital change management within the branch. The Senior Project Manager currently has one direct report: the RTS Project Analyst (VPS4). The Senior Project Manager is a member of the RTS' senior management team.
Key Accountabilities include: Develop, implement and manage the RTS' major projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and meet user and business needs.Develop, implement and manage integration of the RTS' business practices within the broader CAV operational and business development structure.Manage the RTS' project team(s) to deliver outcomes consistent with the CAV objectives, RTS business plan and/or strategic goals.About you To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
Demonstrated experience in managing technical projects, particularly in relation to organisational change and ICT initiatives.Understanding of the function and relevant legislation of Consumer Affairs Victoria is highly desirable.Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualifications would be highly regarded.For specificresponsibilitiesplease review the attached position description.
