Our team fosters an energetic, dynamic culture and works to manage projects with varying complexity, providing opportunities to grow and diversify your skill set.What you'll be responsible for Managing the delivery of assigned infrastructure projects and project teams from concept planning, detailed design and specification, through to and including construction phaseLeading project teams including external design and engineering consultancies as requiredLeading early tender involvement phases for some projectsProviding high level, specialist technical and project management recommendations to various sections of infrastructure projects within defined programsEnsuring provisions of all relevant legislation, regulations, agreements, standards, policies and processes are applied and adhered to in projectsInvestigating, analysing and problem solving network issues to arrive at fit for purpose solutionsMentoring junior project officers and project managers within the project delivery team.Position Information We have various permanent full-time positions and one fixed term position available, ending January 2026.Under the current Certified Agreement, the remuneration for these positions span across 3 levels – Level 6 to Level 8, with the salary ranging from $101,514.06 - $164,600.50 per annum plus superannuation. The positions are categorised based on their alignment to projects of varying complexity. The level 8 salary range is commensurate with working a 10-day fortnight and may include a negotiable critical skills incentive payment (CSIP) that is determined based on your qualifications, skills and experience. The CSIP is an allowance and is subject to annual reviews based on performance.We're looking for people who have Senior Project Management experience delivering large scale multidisciplinary projects including road infrastructure, preferably within a Government department Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication with experience in drafting correspondence and briefing senior management on project matters Proven experience in consulting, engaging and negotiating with key stakeholders, with the ability to influence timeframes, project outcomes and objectives Sound judgement and the ability to make decisive actionsStructured work processes and can work independently with limited directionsPractical leadership skills and the ability to manage the expectations of teams, contractors and key stakeholders Demonstrated ability in interpreting complex data, drawing logical conclusions and implicationsExperience providing tactical and technical advice to management and elected representatives, sometimes at short notice Demonstrated experience in establishing strong relationships with a range of key stakeholders at various levels Knowledge of industry standards and best practice Strong work ethics and a commitment to the completion of projects Bachelor Degree of Civil Engineering or equivalent knowledge (Mandatory) Graduate Certificate of Project Management or equivalent knowledge (Desired) Drivers licence unrestricted (Mandatory) General construction induction white card (Mandatory).Contact: Mike Rathbone - 07 5581 6091 – Permanent, full time Contact: Nathan Pearce – 0422 772 723 – Fixed Term until January 2026 Closing Date: Sunday 14 July 2024 How to apply Click on the 'Apply' button below to complete your online application.
