The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join the Digital and Technology team. As a part of the Digital strategic program, we have a unique opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to support the RFDS with future growth and optimisation. This role will manage projects to support the effective implementation of the Primary Health Strategy, incorporating virtual health, and delivery of related projects.

The Senior Project Manager is a full-time position on a maximum term contract of 12 months based in Brisbane. Although the initial contract is for 12 months, the right team member may be able to support other strategic projects beyond this initial project. Digital & Technology offers hybrid working arrangements with a mixture of home and office work.

Key Responsibilities
This role involves managing and executing projects to set up and implement new solutions to optimise service delivery. You will ensure successful project completion within the agreed cost, time, and quality parameters. As the Senior Project Manager will:
Be the key point of liaison between the project team, business management, and senior stakeholdersUse project management tools to plan, monitor, and report to the stakeholders on the progress of the projectsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyPlan and oversee a project from the initial ideation stage through to the completionIdentify and mitigate risks that may impact the successful delivery of the projectProvide effective leadership to the project team and manage the scheduling of tasks and performance of resources seconded into the projectThere will also be a requirement to travel both within Queensland and interstate for this roleWho are we looking for?
We are seeking a highly adaptable team player with experience managing Projects in a Healthcare environment to effectively contribute and manage projects to ensure successful delivery. In addition, you will have:
Formal qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a Health related fieldExtensive experience leading large projects in a complex business environment in a healthcare environmentExperience in delivering Business and Strategic ProjectsExperience with Project Management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum), Risk Management, Change Management and Financial ManagementSpecialise working with Smartsheet, Jira and Microsoft projectCertification as a Project Management Practitioner (desirable)ITIL Foundation Certifications (desirable)Technical acumen in digital and technologyHighly engaging communication skillsThe ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationshipsExceptional time management and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to build an engaged, collaborative, and committed project teamWhy Join the RFDS (Queensland Section)
