Our client is the largest integrated construction materials company in Australia, producing and selling a broad range of construction materials, including quarry products, cement, concrete, asphalt, and recycled materials. Employing circa 9,100 employees and contractors nationally, their extensive footprint includes some 357 operating sites nationally.
Today they are seeking to appoint an exceptionally talented and engaging Senior Project Manager who has the expertise to project manage two of their sites in West Burleigh and Stapylton.
Reporting to the Head of Capital Projects, you will be based between sites and enjoy full accountability/responsibility for these projects. Supported by a Construction Manager, you will project manage a multidisciplinary team of contractors who are responsible for constructing office buildings, workshops, and a minor weighbridge, ensuring that roading and pavements are reconstructed and abide by local regulations.
What You Will Bring To The Role
Proven experience in project management, ideally in civil engineering
Significant experience with forecasting and tracking of project expenditures
Experience communicating with senior management on group activity and project status
Engineering experience in civil construction or mechanical engineered projects in either earthworks, plant projects, and/or material processing facilities or quarries plus experience in roading
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental) is desirable
Qualifications in, or detailed working knowledge of project management principles is desirable
Working knowledge of regulatory approvals pathways as they relate to infrastructure projects
A strong track record in safety and Project Management delivery
Demonstrated experience running concurrent projects and a proven ability to maintain a detailed line of sight over schedules, budgets, and builds to ensure the projects are each delivered on time and on budget
Proven ability to scope, prioritise and plan projects
Monitor and assist in managing the delivery of vendors and subcontractor's procurement items and services
Demonstrated strategic thinking & problem-solving skills
Confident stakeholder engagement and management experience at all levels across the wider organisation
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading end-to-end program of civil infrastructure project management
Exp front loading of all New Project Contracts, ensuring correct documentation has been provided and correct approvals obtained.

Manage effective and efficient communication between project teams, contractors, suppliers, and other external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met
Obtain appropriate licenses and approvals from relevant authorities for execution of project
Direct and assist procurement in the development of tender requests for relevant activities to ensure the highest possible standard for tender submission, minimising costs and maximizing scope activity
Lead project teams in the development of 'fit for purpose' design, and construction of new infrastructure assets and the rehabilitation of closed assets
Manage asset project handover including operational and environmental compliance for the assets with all regulatory and best practice requirements, pollution abatement notices, Council notices, etc.
Establish, monitor and review project life cycles to ensure the delivery of project on time and budget
Demonstrated experience leading significant brownfield infrastructure projects
