The Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our Information Security, aka. Cyber, projects. This role is critical in ensuring the success of our initiatives aimed at protecting our organization from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in project management, specifically within the cybersecurity field, coupled with an ability to lead cross-functional teams. To manage Information Security project implementations for AP+ technical and business stakeholders. Leading a small team of project assigned resources (a.k.a squad). Overseeing the delivery of the Cyber Squad workstreams & provide support to other squads as needed. This is a 12 months fixed term contract role
Responsibilities:
Lead and direct the project team, providing project oversight, including delivery to agreed outcomes, resource planning and management, and quality information management. Participate in related program governance activities. Ensure project governance is effective across the project environment and project methodology is consistently applied. Work with the CISO and product owners to define quarterly team goals and milestones. Produce monthly status project reports for senior stakeholder consumption. Conduct monthly RAIDD (Risk, Issues, Assumptions, Dependencies and Decisions) reviews to identify and manage project risks, including contingency planning and risk mitigation. Manage priorities and allocate resources to meet project deliverables; ensure skills and competency requirements are appropriate to project needs. Ensure resource allocation is aligned to project schedules, milestones, and deliverables. Manage contracts such as statement of work and high-level estimates. Manage stakeholder relationships internally through effective relationship building and alignment of project activities. Work closely with product and technical implementation teams as required. Liaise with project sponsors and business owners to ensure support, resource allocation and stakeholder buy in to project activities to meet agreed outcomes. Monitor project scope and work with stakeholders to assess, test and refine requirements. Manage change controls to ensure project outcomes are in line with organisational standards, quality expectations and benefits tracking. Identify and manage cross-project dependencies and issues. Flexibility regarding meetings outside of normal working hours. The capabilities we're seeking are:
Expertise in IT project management, and a successful track record as a senior project management overseeing enterprise-wide technical projects, including Cyber Security projects. Experience in working group coordination, participation, and reporting. Experience in implementing Cyber Security Projects such as SOCI, ISO or PCI compliance. Experience in managing small teams. Experience in building and managing customer/client relationships. Experience working with internal and external stakeholders, vendors. Qualifications and/or significant experience in project methodology (PMBOK/Prince II/ Agile) and relevant tertiary qualifications. Project methodology working knowledge (PMBOK/Prince II/ Agile). Knowledge of MS Project, JIRA and similar tools. Knowledge of the Privacy Act, SOCI, ISO27001, PCI-DSS. What happens next:
