In this role, you'll:
Lead teams to plan and deliver a range of infrastructure projects, maintenance programs and contracts ensuring they are delivered on time, in budget and to the quality standard we demand. Manage detailed delivery planning and control for projects including review and analysis of project information to develop delivery plans and schedules that ensure safe, efficient and customer-focused project and program delivery. Ensure customer communications are managed and issues resolved in accordance with Transport objectives. Develop and implement project briefs for contractor and internal service providers to ensure projects are managed and delivered effectively. Control the administration and delivery of contracts by fulfilling the role of representative on selected contracts. Develop and implement appropriate procedures, practices, and reporting mechanisms to ensure a high level of WHS and environmental protection and safeguards on projects. This is an ongoing full-time role located in Dubbo.
The Western Bridges team undertakes a diverse range of bridge and culvert construction and maintenance in urban and remote sites across a region which stretches from the Blue Mountains across to the borders with Queensland, South Australia, and Victoria.
The position involves project delivery, site work and travel across central and western NSW, and at times you will be required to work away from home in order to deliver remote projects. It is expected you will live centrally within the region, working out of the regional office in Dubbo.

About you
To be considered for this role you will have a four-year civil/structural engineering degree from an Australian University or equivalent overseas qualifications.
You have proven experience in managing the planning and delivery of transport infrastructure projects and maintenance programs and with demonstrated knowledge and experience in project management, tendering procedures, contract administration and procurement of infrastructure contracts.
You have broad knowledge and experience in the technical aspects of materials, equipment and techniques used in bridge and large culvert maintenance and construction activities.
You will be a proactive analytical thinker and possess high-level communication skills. The ability to astutely manage time and work collaboratively and closely with stakeholders to deliver is paramount, as is your dedicated commitment to safety and quality.
You possess a current and valid Australian motor vehicle driver license and be willing to work outside regular working hours and travel on occasion.
