The RoleWith our footprint in the Hunter Valley expanding, Symal is looking to add a Senior Project Engineer to the team to be based out of Newcastle. Our presence across the renewables and major transportation sector is growing, and so is our team. We are inviting Senior Project Engineers who are interested in working with a national oriented contractor to apply. Being a Newcastle-based business, we are also inviting interstate candidates to apply from all major cities within Australia.
You must be flexible with DIDO / working away from home. If you are open to relocating to Newcastle, we are also able to offer a full relocation package to enable a smooth transition to your new home.
Your ImpactYour guidance will ensure our project teams deliver for our valued clients on time, on budget, and as safely as possible.
Your Every DayCoordinating and administering construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications.Participating in monthly financial reviews and providing cost forecasts against budgets to understand cost to complete.Leading and supporting a strong safety culture.Managing the construction program and implementing mitigating measures to keep the program on track.Demonstrating financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions.Who Are You?You possess:
A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or project management.A proven track record of delivering infrastructure projects and leading teams with successful outcomes regarding the above KRA's.Effective communication with clients, consultants, management & on-site personnel.An understanding of HSE/QA compliance.Experience in delivering infrastructure projects greater than $30 million in value.The ability to travel regionally when needed.A Career With UsSymal is an equal opportunity employer.
