About you You will be joining a motivated and high performing team. Based in our Brisbane office and reporting to the Project Delivery Manager, the Senior Project Controller works closely with our Project Managers & Engineers to implement sensible, honest and robust Project Management methodologies for project planning, execution, reporting and change control, in line with Client and Business stakeholder expectations. This is a critical role in a growing business where continuous improvement and innovative ideas are encouraged and acted on.
As the Lead Project Controller, you will:
Assist with maintenance of the Project Management systems, tools & proceduresPlan, implement & manage project Cost Control systemsPlan, implement & manage project SchedulesProvide regular and accurate reports to Project Managers, the Project Delivery Manager, and other internal & external business stakeholdersAssist with the Business Units financial processes, such as preparation of annual budgets, monthly financial analysis and invoicingProvide guidance and leadership to others within the Project Services team, and to Project Managers regarding Project Controls systems, procedures and practicesThe Person You will be a highly self-motivated individual, ideally with strong commercial experience in a Project Delivery environment (ideally Engineering & Design, nominally 10+ years' experience) and bring to the role:
Self-starter, capable of efficiently understanding and assessing a task and integrating into operational or project teams, thereon able to work independently to satisfy project requirements & deliver to Business Unit requirementsCapable of resolving escalated issues arising from day-to-day work, and requiring engagement of multiple stakeholders;Ability to analyse complex problems, identify critical issues and develop strategies for delivering solutions;Experience in planning, scheduling, and monitoring projects;Experience in implementing & maintaining cost control and progress measurement systems;Highly developed communication, team, and interpersonal skills;Sound time and task management skills;High level of attention to detail, and able to undertake activities and produce deliverables to a high standard, commensurate with Business requirements and industry standards;Proven ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight timeframes.
