The National team within the Department of Energy and Climate is integral to delivery of the Queensland Government's participation in national energy frameworks and stakeholder engagement. The position is available for 9 Months with a possibility of extension.
The Senior Program Officer role requires the ability to work autonomously, demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and problem-solving skills to address challenges in a dynamic environment. This position involves leading and performing high-level project and administrative support, coordination, research, analysis, and reporting tasks.

Role responsibilities
• Provide timely high level project and quality assurance support and advice to Energy executives on strategic and operational business matters including overseeing the preparation and coordination of executive level reports and briefing material and the maintenance of record management systems.
• Coordinate and contribute to effective business planning and governance administration in relation to state and national meetings and engagement responsibilities.
• Undertake high level liaison services with a broad range of key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the time progression and provision of initiative responsibilities.
• Liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders to discuss business process requirements, evaluate current process performance and identify opportunities to improve processes at all levels.
• Develop and coordinate reports and high level meeting papers and initiate action where required to provide quality assurance to ensure all activities are in line with departmental policies and procedures.
