About the Business Unit: The Finance and Procurement business unit provides department-wide financial, procurement and workplace services through strategic leadership and setting the direction, policy, and processes, partnering with the department to build capability.
About the Role: The role of a Senior Procurement Officer is to:
Support the Procurement Services strategic planning and advisory processes, supporting the development and delivery of key projects and initiatives.Provide a level of administrative oversight across the Procurement Services functions.Support the Director, Procurement Services to deliver on key business priorities.Reporting to the Director, Procurement Services, the Senior Procurement Officer will participate in strategic planning and drive key strategic initiatives within the Procurement Services functions.
About You: As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
Legislative, regulation and policy context awareness: A strong ability to initiate and develop policies, strategies and governance frameworks that comply with higher legislative requirements.Strategy Planning, development and implementation: A strong ability to work with colleagues to identify methods of implementation and communication of the strategy.Solutions development: A strong ability to resolve issues through deep understanding or interpretation of existing guidelines.Qualifications/Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably encompassing procurement, supply chain, commerce, law or business administration is highly desirable.Experience / understanding of government procurement and policies is highly desirable.How to Apply: Please click the Apply button on this advertisement.
