Senior Pricing Analyst

Details of the offer

Have a meaningful impact as a Senior Pricing Analyst joining the largest insurance group in Australia and New Zealand. YOUR ROLE Exciting opportunities available in our Intermediated Insurance Australia (IIA) Pricing team. We're looking for aspiring Senior Pricing Analysts to join us in delivering end-to-end pricing solutions across several portfolios. As an end-to-end Senior Pricing Analyst, you will specialise in data-driven analyses to enable IIA to charge the right premium for the risks we insure. You'll be part of a team that designs, builds, implements, maintains, and monitors technical pricing models and contributes to the derivation of go-to-market premiums. You will provide valuable insights to shape strategic pricing initiatives for both the short and long term, while also gaining opportunities to grow your experience and advance your career as an actuary. This is a permanent role based in Sydney or Melbourne. ABOUT YOU Previous experience in applying traditional actuarial/technical pricing methods for general insurance classes. Some previous knowledge and experience in the general insurance industry, ideally in pricing and/or commercial insurance. Proficient in programming with analytical software such as SAS, R, Python, VBA, and SQL. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively present and discuss complex information, analysis, and findings to technical and non-technical audiences, using data visualisation as appropriate. Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Tertiary qualification in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or other relevant technical disciplines. Applications close on Sunday 6 October 2024 at 23:59 AEDT. ABOUT US Insurance Australia Group (IAG) is the largest general insurance group in Australia and New Zealand. We are also a tech and research facility, a hub for climate change experts, and a centre of resilience design. We chat over coffee with customers, advocate for them in the corridors of Parliament, and back them up in the community when life's moments hit hardest. You will know our brands – NRMA Insurance, CGU, WFI, ROLLiN', AMI, NZI, and State Insurance to name a few. Together they turn our IAG purpose of making your world safer into action by helping, supporting ambitions, and making insurance accessible. We celebrate unique viewpoints shaped by life experiences, cultures, and passions.
