Team Background: Working closely with internal teams, the Innovation team enables the development of new technologies and solutions to help us achieve our company mission of engineering the future of battery energy storage.
Who we're looking for: We are seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to develop power electronics circuits and systems for next-generation battery storage technology, consult with and provide guidance across all areas of Power Electronics, produce technical documentation, and conduct reviews of documentation created by others.
The successful candidate will progress to take on additional responsibilities that contribute directly to Relectrify's technology roadmap, such as contributing to Relectrify's intellectual property portfolio, actively assisting with risk mitigation in the safety of people, schedule and product development, and having the privilege to mentor others and continually improve the capabilities and skills of the broader engineering team.
What you'll be doing: Delivering power electronics systems meeting schedule and BOM cost targets;Developing power and control circuits, cooling, insulation, EMI management, control and fault management;Releasing design documentation;Prioritising and scheduling activities in power electronics development;Push/pulling information from the cross-functional team as required to deliver systems;Holding informal design reviews and resolving technical issues with input from the team.Must-have experience: Bachelor/Masters/PhD in electrical/electronic engineering7+ years industry experience in power electronics development >2kW and 230VacExperience in the design of high current switching circuits incl. gate drive, snubbing, current sensingHighly skilled in circuit schematic/layoutExperience with Insulation coordination and EMC complianceExperience in thermal analysis and design of cooling systemsExperience with fault detection, protection and managementExperience defining/specifying digital control and protection of power electronic circuitsExperience propagating technical knowledge via mentoringNice-to-have experience: Experience in FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, HAZOP, JSAWell-versed in Altium Designer schematic/layoutHighly skilled in SMT soldering and reworkExperienced in high frequency magnetics inductor/transformer designExpertise in microgrid applicationsWhy Relectrify?Our benefits are designed to support and enhance your work-life harmony:
