Senior Policy Officer

The Senior Policy Officer oversees the integration delivery of transmission infrastructure for offshore wind aligned with specific project timelines. This position closely collaborates with VicGrid in the development of transmission infrastructure and its business case. The Senior Policy Officer provides oversight of the transmission Client Requirement Document (CRD). This involves guiding offshore wind (OSW) policy settings, particularly in the areas of access arrangements, connections, and connection coordination, to facilitate the successful integration of Offshore Wind projects into Victoria's energy grid. Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications Understanding of Victorian and/or national energy markets, systems and frameworks; electricity transmission networks; and familiarity with renewable energy trends is highly desirable.Demonstrated experience delivering regulatory, operational and commercial agreements is desirable.Formal qualifications in economics, commerce, law, or energy or utility systems and regulation are desirable. This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2027. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
