The Integrity Policy and Governance team leads the implementation of the Child Care Financial Integrity Strategy and its whole-of-system approach to improving childcare subsidy payment accuracy.
As a Senior Policy and Program Officer (APS6) in the team, you will be involved in the work that drives the strategic direction of childcare integrity, including responsibility for strategic policy, performance measurement, governance, legislative reform, and new integrity projects.
The key duties of the position include:Interpreting, drafting and reviewing policy or project documents and materials, including parliamentary briefings, policy advice, discussion papers, submissions, project reports, and strategy documents.Conducting research and analysis to inform policy and strategic direction of strengthening financial integrity activities related to the Child Care Subsidy program.Leading planning, development and implementation of policy or project activities in line with broader divisional objectives.Managing relevant governance and administrative activities, including contract management, procurement activities, and reporting.Contributing to Cabinet processes including the development of New Policy Proposals and broader child care financial integrity work across the team, when required.Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Supervising staff including developing and building capability of team members.Employment ConditionsEmployment at the Department of Education is subject to conditions prescribed within the Public Service Act 1999 including:
