The Senior Planning Analyst provides a critical role, partnering with stakeholders across the University to provide performance reporting, data insights and advice to support strategic and operational planning.
The successful candidate acts as the interface between the broader Planning and Analytics function and the key decision-makers of the University. The specific responsibilities include analysis and modelling of strategic performance indicators, student and research metrics, student evaluations, revenue, workforce planning and competitor/market intelligence.
The Planning and Analytics team is part of the Division of University Operations who provide enabling services and resource capabilities to support the teaching and research activities. It includes Planning Analysts, Business Intelligence Developers and Data Engineers who compile and interpret data to help the University develop plans, monitor/review progress and achieve its goals.

To be successful you will need: Demonstrated experience in a senior business or data analyst role. Previous experience in planning, reporting, analysis and planning including advice to senior management. Advanced Excel, data manipulation/reporting using tools such as Cognos or Power BI. Demonstrated experience in a commercial enterprise of a similar size and scope to the University. Demonstrated experience communicating, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional and responsive manner to deliver client-centric results. Demonstrated experience in researching and analysing data, effective problem solving and developing strategic plans, business cases, procedures and guidelines of a financial nature.
