All jobs can be worked flexibly, and we encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people from diverse backgrounds and abilities.THE ROLEThe Senior Operations Officer plays a key role in the oversight, development and implementation of operational plans, processes and systems to help ensure the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing is able to respond to an emergency impacting the Victorian community at any time. The role is also an important part of the department's operational response to emergencies and provides subject matter expertise during emergency operations.ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDEDevelop and implement guidelines, procedures and systems for emergency operations.Provide advice to support the effective implementation of policy within emergency operations.Support and participate in other programs and activities to build capability and inter-operability of DFFH emergency management, as required.COVID-19 VACCINATIONThe department strongly recommends (but does not mandate) that employees maintain their COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with current ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) advice, given their individual circumstances.
