What you'll do: We are looking for someone that has designed a number on Mine Industrial Areas (MIA) and understands how the site maintenance teams maintain the mining fleet (i.e. layouts of the administration and maintenance facilities to undertake repairs, refuelling, tyre replacement, wash down etc), you will need to understand the pros and cons of various layout options, the positioning for the different buildings and facilities in relation to heavy vehicle, light vehicle, equipment delivery, and people movement, the various services required for these facilities (potable water, diesel, coolant and lubricant systems, compressed air, nitrogen storage, fire water systems, sewage, raw water, power and comms, if you have these skills and the below please apply we would love to hear from you.
Oversee the design management and design interfacing coordination function across structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil work for mine infrastructure projects.Manage and deliver across a broad range of mining and infrastructure projects, including mine industrial area and maintenance facilities, site services, materials handling, access roads, rail and other infrastructure to support mining projects.Engage in business development and client liaison with mining clients including preparation of bids.Oversee project management across projects that have multiple engineering disciplines.Support the wider mine infrastructure design team and other teams within the company nationally when the opportunity presents.To be successful in the role you will have: Relevant tertiary qualifications – e.g. bachelor's degree in engineering (either civil, structural, mechanical or electrical).Exceptional experience with a background in, or passion for, multi-disciplined engineering for mine infrastructure.Experience working within a multi-disciplinary design team.Working knowledge across a range of design and engineering areas including mine infrastructure, mechanical services, industrial facilities.A track record of delivering mining and industrial projects.The ability to build relationships and develop business.About WSP: WSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services consulting firms, bringing together approximately 5,000 talented people across 14 offices in Australia.
