Role details The Hinterland Mental Health Service is seeking applications for a Senior Mental Health Clinician (Health Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Consultant) to join their team on a permanent basis. How to apply and for mandatory requirements regarding this role, please refer to the attached Role Description.Your opportunity This position is part of the Hinterland Mental Health Service, located in Moranbah (200km west of Mackay) and provides outreach mental health services to Clermont, Dysart, Middlemount, and Glenden. There is an expectation that successful applicants would travel to provide outreach to the above-mentioned locations and to Mackay for training and/or professional supervision on an ongoing basis. The Hinterland team comprises several programs:Child and Youth Service providing intake, assessment, treatment, and case management services to young people (and families/supports) with moderate to severe mental health issues.Adult Service providing triage, assessment, goal & evidence-based therapeutic intervention and treatment, and case management service for adults experiencing mental health issues in the rural setting.Acute Care Team providing intake/triage, assessment, and crisis intervention to individuals who experience mental disorder within the Mackay Hospital and Health Service geographical area.Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (AODs) providing specialist intake, assessment, intervention, and community maintenance/aftercare for people experiencing challenges with alcohol and other drug use.About the Team As a member of the Hinterland Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (AODS), this position will deliver high-quality evidence-based clinical services to consumers presenting with mental health issues in a rural setting. This will include intake/triage, clinical assessments, evidence-based therapeutic interventions and treatments as well as case management, and group/family work across the service's programs as required.About our Hospital and Health Service Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services, and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff.
