The Role: As a Medical Administrator, you will be integral to enabling our patient-centric approach. As the first point of contact for each patient, you will manage the patient experience and the efficient processing of appointments. You will have a strong understanding of the treatment pathways and eligibility criteria to ensure we maintain our delivery values of ease of access, speed of access, and high quality care.
What You'll Do: Administrative Support: Coordinate referrals to the Approved Referral partners, utilising both the MBS and DVA funding pathways.Process Evaluation and Development: Contribute to the continual evaluation and improvement of administrative processes, workflows, and system integration, optimising the administrative workflow.Training and Development: Participate in training and education for all staff on clinical partners, processes, and service-aware presentations, providing you with the skills, knowledge and continual improvement to excel.Data Analysis: Harness data to inform administrative decision making, including weekly administrative data reports and performance metrics to ensure the patient experience is seamlessly executed.Systems Management: Responsible for the utilisation and management of operational systems including the suite of IT software systems, database management, and auditing.Governance:  Operate in accordance with all applicable governance policies and processes, ensuring correct data security and privacy regulations are adhered to. Who You Are: Experienced Medical Administrator: You have strong experience in healthcare administration, with excellent customer service values. You can work independently, coordinating the access to care for patients.Systems Focus: You understand the importance and power of systems, and the correct use, and management of these to achieve operational outcomes. You have detailed experience in Best Practice, Google Suite, and other IT systems.Organised & Detail-Oriented: You excel at managing multiple enquiries and workflows, ensuring every detail is accounted for and every patient can receive the care they need.Great Communicator: You can easily build rapport with vulnerable patients in person and over the phone. You can use contextual learning to win trust with veterans, and understand their sensitivities when accessing care.Services SME: You can rapidly develop a working knowledge of the suite of 26 services on offer, and articulate their general treatment pathways to others, including preferred providers.Healthcare Billing: You have detailed knowledge and experience in entitlements and billing through Medicare, Private Health, and DVA legislation.Team Player: You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to a mission-driven team.
