Depending on your experience, you will ideally:Drive the technical quality of water and wastewater infrastructure design projects.Develop and/or lead the mechanical and hydraulic design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects through the full spectrum of the project life cycle to ensure work output is of a technically high standard.Produce and review concise, high-quality technical documentation and assist in preparing and coordinating high-quality proposals and pursuits.Understand and manage the design on a range of projects or program work packages.Contribute to the design team by actively assisting colleagues in achieving improved client feedback results, enhancing satisfaction, and exceeding client expectations.Assist in project management and design management of a range of projects.Develop and mentor emerging members of our team and work collaboratively with the wider local and national team.About YouBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualifications.Chartered member of Engineers Australia or eligible/working towards obtaining CPEng.Proven experience working within an engineering consultancy, or in a design role for a contractor or asset owner. Water industry experience is advantageous.Technical skills across a broad range of areas within water and/or wastewater conveyance and treatment.Experience in the hydraulic design of water utilities and pump station design. CFD and pipe stress analysis is advantageous.Experience in equipment selection and specification.Experience with stress analysis design using software or analytical techniques.Experience in Plant 3D or Inventor is advantageous.Experience in CHAIR and HAZOP and related safety in design practices and processes.Ability to prepare and review technical reports on medium to large projects, consult with our clients in an effective and professional manner, and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, team members, and peers.About WSPWSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services firms, bringing together approximately 6,000 talented people across 15 offices in Australia.
