About Sustainable Infrastructure The Sustainable Infrastructure group is dedicated to maximising value for customers and the community by developing innovative and optimised infrastructure plans, and overseeing the planning, construction, delivery, and maintenance of water and sewerage assets across the state and business.
In addition, your responsibilities will include: Provide expert support in Mechanical engineering matters across the corporation. Offer technical guidance in Safety in Design (SiD) matters. Collaborate with the Principal Engineer to enhance the teams' capabilities. Identify and evaluate new technologies, driving innovation and best practice improvements in Mechanical engineering standards and practices. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders ensuring effective communication with engineering teams, project managers, vendors and contractors. Determine suitability of new and emerging technology to benefit the corporation. Support to the Engineering design/studies team for mechanical investigation. Travel to sites to assess engineering situations frequently. Your success in this role will come from: Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. Postgraduate qualifications are desirable but not essential. Sound knowledge of Mechanical engineering procedures and practices. Experience in the provision of investigation, concept and detailed design of Mechanical infrastructure. Demonstrated experience in executing complex and critical engineering investigations. Knowledge to develop project specific mechanical specifications. Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia (EA) or in the process of obtaining chartership with EA is desirable.
