As the Senior Manager – Major Projects in the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Customers Team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Major Projects within the business by spearheading the pursuit of high-impact business deals that align with our strategic vision.
This role is central to shaping and executing the sales and delivery strategy, building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, including C-Level executives of Australia's top energy consumers.
The Senior Manager will effectively communicate AGL's story and unique value proposition, while leading cross-functional teams to bring the strategy to life and deliver outstanding results.
What You'll Be Doing Developing and establishing the direction for major energy projects, including sales, project development, engineering, project delivery, regulatory, safety plans, and budgets.Managing and directing the successful financial performance of the construction project from FEED through to project handover, including asset management and overseeing the CAPEX and OPEX project budgets.Verifying project work breakdown structure, cost breakdown structure, and budget estimates to ensure alignment with expectations and monitoring key performance indicators.Leading or overseeing the negotiation of commercial and contractual relationships with customers, suppliers, and contractors.Ensuring targets for proactive HSE activities are set and managed within the team. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline, with extensive leadership experience and demonstrated skills in senior management roles.Strong business development sales leadership experience and the ability to drive growth and generate revenue.Extensive experience in leading construction projects of similar complexities and analytical skills to assess complex issues.Intellectual curiosity, and technical literacy to promote and explain complex engineering and commercial solutions.Demonstrated consumer mindset and excellent interpersonal skills with strong ability to influence broadly.
