Our client is seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Head of Credit to lead their lending assessment team.
What you'll do: Lead a diverse lending assessment team in underwriting profitable, ethical, and commercially sound loans. Support the achievement of loan portfolio objectives as outlined in the Board Risk Appetite Statement. Facilitate appropriate regulatory compliance within the assessment process. Deliver timely decisions and quality service to internal stakeholders. Contribute to the development of corporate strategy and support its communication. Implement strategic projects contributing to risk assessments, change management, and procedural modifications. What you bring: Extensive underwriting experience in commercial and consumer lending in a bank, building society, or credit union environment. Strong knowledge of all laws and regulations governing the provision of regulated and unregulated loans in Australia. Effective leadership skills with experience in managing diverse teams in a customer-oriented service level environment. Ability to develop and implement quality business plans. Strong skills in Microsoft Office products. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
