Key Responsibilities: Environmental Compliance and Strategy Oversee complex compliance audits, ensuring adherence to AGL's HSEMS and regulatory standards.Develop, implement, and continually refine Environmental Management Plans in response to regulatory changes, operational shifts, and site-specific requirements.Risk and Incident Management Lead risk assessments and environmental audits, identify and resolve potential issues.Oversee the Pollution Incident Response Management Plan, review environmental data, and lead significant incident investigations with objectivity and pragmatism.People Leadership and Development Act as a coach and mentor for the Bayswater Environment team, empower staff and foster professional growth.Build a positive team culture where listening, learning, and collaboration are.Create a trusting environment by being an objective, supportive manager who values employee input and fosters a development-focused workplace.Stakeholder Engagement Build steadfast relationships with regulatory bodies, particularly the EPA.Lead cross-functional collaboration within the AGL Environmental network to improve environmental standards and drive company-wide initiatives.What you need to have to succeed: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.Experience in Environmental Management or Site Operations, with technical experience managing complex compliance and regulatory requirements.Deep understanding of Australian environmental legislation and EPA guidelines, with an adaptable approach to regulatory challenges.Demonstrated leadership skills, with a focus on team development, listening, and collaborative problem-solving.Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information to a diverse audience.If this role is your next career move, please apply no later than the 17th of November 2024.
