About the RoleReporting to the General Manager Major Capital Delivery, this is a pivotal role within the Major Capital team. As the Senior Manager Capital Delivery you will be responsible for delivering the new capital partnership model. This will include:
Project Management and delivery of the new capital partnership model including reporting, key stakeholder management, model development, preparation of relevant artefacts, the tender process and implementation of the new modelManaging the associated working groups for the delivery of the new partnership model including accountabilities and responsibilities for the relevant streams of workImplementation of the model will result in the role transitioning to safely deliver a portfolio of Complex programs of major capital projects to meet the team objectives and key performance indicators. This will include:
Lead the team in project safety and environmental initiatives and implement intervention strategies as requiredManage a team of Project Managers in the safe development and execution of delivery strategies across a complex portfolio of projectsKey member of the performance reviews associated with delivery partners ensuring governance and performance of delivery is achieved in creating the greatest value for our customersTertiary degree in relevant engineering or discipline field (e.g. process, chemical, civil, project management) or extensive experience in relatable areaExtensive Project Management experience in construction / industrial environmentExperience and knowledge of best practices in, project management, risk assessment and management techniques.Agent of Culture - Inspire through role modelling of values, mind-sets and habits to bring to life our desired cultureAbility to lead change and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholdersStrong financial and commercial acumen skillsAt Melbourne Water, we care about water and all life that springs from it.
