Senior Manager, Business Controls & Monitoring - Credit Cards Risk MaturityLocation: Westpac Banking Corporation, Sydney, AustraliaJob DescriptionPermanent position, Sydney based, 2 days in the office to connect with colleaguesFocus on Credit Cards Line of Business riskContinue to build your expertise in risk and controls identification to uplift capabilitiesHow will I help?This role looks to support the Consumer Finance business in risk and control identification through management of the Value Chain Risk Profile and provision of risk advisory support to the Credit Cards and Personal Loans portfolios.Key tasks for this role are leading programs of work across our Risk Management Framework, including:Control management, namely reviews of our control environment to identify uplift and automation opportunities as well as control assurance testingPerform quarterly review of the Risk Profile and support the development and monitoring of 'Return to Medium' Plans for Out of Appetite risksSupport the identification and management of emerging risks relevant to Consumer FinanceUndertake required risk activities to support Risk and Compliance Attestations, including the Tax, Basel III and SOx AttestationsUndertaking proactive risk reviews and supporting Divisional deep divesDeliver the Risk Management Framework Maturity Assessment (RMFMA) and Risk Culture AssessmentOversee the Key Indicator and Risk Appetite Dashboard Program, including annual review and ongoing monitoring and reportingSupport the integration of enabling services into our Value Chain Risk ProfileWhat do I need to succeed in this role?The successful candidate for this role will have strong experience within risk management. Preferably coming from a consulting/banking environment, ideally you will have had exposure to consumer finance risk, specifically with Personal Loans Consumer Finance Line of Business (LOB) Risk or Credit Card LOB risk. A strong controls background preferably from Risk Assurance, Consulting Assurance will be highly regarded as we will be able to scaffold your transition into the role and teach you the product.Additionally, you will be well versed in joining the dots', planning and solving problems proactively and be well known for your proven ability to articulate yourself with senior stakeholders in written and oral forms. Your extensive experience in a large and complex organisation, consulting or financial services organisation will enable you to hit the ground running across our regulatory risk landscape.
