About the opportunity:
With both Permanent and Fixed Term opportunities available, the role of Senior Management Accountant Located will report to the Cost Control Manager, with the General Managers - Projects as their key stakeholders.
Based in our Subiaco head office, this role provides support across multiple business units and includes Month end preparation and close, Progress Claims, Cost Re-forecasting and budgeting, Risk Management and Commercial Analysis.
Your day-to-day includes: Review cost and revenue accruals, provisions, review balance sheet accounts and ensure ERP transactions are recognised in line with relevant Accounting Standards.Review cost allocations against approved budgets, and proactively report on potential budget overruns.Review and provide sub margin analysis on labour, materials, equipment and indirect costs.Coordinate progress claims for approval by Contract Managers/ Contract Owners and submit to Clients.Provide commentary concerning the underlying performance of the contract(s).Review monthly consolidated Financial results in conjunction with the Sector General Managers and Operation Managers / Contract Owners and assist the Sector General Managers in the preparation of Monthly Management Sector Reporting.About you: Hold appropriate qualifications in Accounting with CA/CPA Preferred.Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, with project experience preferred.Experience using Microsoft Power Query, Power Pivot and Power BI is advantageous.Experience across various project / contract types including but not limited to schedule of rates, unit rates, lump sums.Proven experience in using large corporate ERP systems and skilled in analysing large volume data.Why you should work for Altrad:
