Core business includes usual formal delegations to make decisions about whether or not to grant liquor licence applications, adhering to qualitative and quantitative standards, managing a high volume workload to organisational priorities, and answering applicant and licensee queries.Some of your duties will include:Assess application for risk of alcohol related harm and/or complexityMaking decisions about whether or not to grant a range of applications of medium to high risk of alcohol related harm and/or complexity under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 and other relevant legislation and policiesPreparing a high volume of correspondence to applicants and industry participants, as well as briefs and memorandums for internal stakeholders on medium or higher risk and/or complexity applications and issuesMaintaining and managing information and documentation in systems and databases in accordance with information management policies and procedures.About You:As our ideal candidate, you will possess:A demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislationA demonstrated understanding of the regulatory framework relating to the liquor industryThe ability to resolve issues through deep understanding or interpretation of existing guidelines - and when guidelines are not available.How to Apply:Please click the Apply button on this advertisement.
