The Senior Lawyer is responsible for partnering with key internal stakeholders to provide quality, timely and pragmatic legal advice under the supervision of the Managing Legal Counsel – Legislative Functions, Advice and Commercial on various areas of law.
These may include commercial law, administrative law, corporate governance, statutory interpretation, contract law, privacy law, employment law, freedom of information and legislative reform. The role may also require you to provide support and guidance to junior lawyers or to our Freedom of Information officers
Who we are looking for : Demonstrated ability to provide pragmatic, quality and timely legal advice on a range of legal issues to a variety of audiences at different levels in a format that is easily understood. Demonstrated experience advising in one or more of commercial law, administrative law, statutory interpretation, employment law, privacy and freedom of information, or the ability to gain the relevant skills. A background in building and construction law At least 3 years of post-admission experience How to Apply What to include in your application:
