Opportunity within our Legal Help services team to provide First Nations help seekers advise on legal advice.3x full time ongoing positionsSalary based on experience, range: $84,626-$98,901 plus superUp to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office modelAbout the role:In this position, you will be responsible for receiving referrals from both internal and external sources and delivering prompt and tailored information, referrals, and/or advanced legal advice to First Nations helpseekers and clients via phone, email/webchat, or face-to-face interactions. Participate in the development of Legal Help as a centre of excellence for triage, intake and legal and non-legal referrals and continue to best practice service delivery initiatives by taking up opportunities for professional development. Opportunity to participate in outreach and promotional initiatives aimed at engaging First Nations communities.This is a special measures role and only First Nations people are eligible to apply, as per the Equal Opportunity Act 2010.This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.About you:As our ideal candidate, you will possess:Proven expertise in working collaboratively with the First Nations community, understanding and addressing unique needs knowledge and practice experience in child protection, family, criminal and civil law matters.High level diagnostic and problem-solving abilities to effectively evaluate and resolve client requirements.High level communication and telephone skills.Knowledge of legal, community and welfare organisations and good referral practise.A current Australian practising certificate which entitles you to practise in Victoria as a government legal practitioner (mandatory).Don't meet every requirement?
