You will join the CIO Branch  which is responsible for the provision and support of the ACIC's critical infrastructure such as data centres, networks, service desk, desktop, video, cyber security and enterprise architecture.

Additional remuneration may also be provided through Individual Flexibility Arrangements (IFA). These IFAs can be negotiated prior to commencement.
About the role
The Senior Specialist Infrastructure Technical Lead reports to the Director of Infrastructure Operations and will be responsible for leading the infrastructure aspects of ACIC endorsed projects. They will ensure all technical requirements are met to ensure successful project delivery and transition into operations, whilst maintaining ACSC Essential Eight (Maturity 2) compliance. The Senior Specialist will operate as part of the project teams and work side-by-side with Project Managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities: Manage the technical requirements of the business including development of service improvement plans and participation/facilitation of technical subject matter expertise into Divisional projects. Promote the ACIC's business objectives through key strategic relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Provide technical guidance and support to project team members. Work with stakeholders and Business Analysts to help shape project requirements and objectives. Work with Solutions Architects to ensure high level and detailed designs are aligned technically with the ACIC's ICT Strategic Plan. Develop technical solutions to meet project requirements. Proactively and creatively manage technical risks, using proof of concepts, technical walkthroughs, smoke tests, incremental delivery or other appropriate techniques. Ensure all project deliverables meet technical security standards, including the Information Security Manual (ISM), the Australian Government's Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and ACSC's Essential Eight. Develop technical project related documentation as required. Collaborate with internal and external technical stakeholders. Other duties as directed. Our ideal candidate
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:
Demonstrated understanding of or experience in the administration of complex enterprise infrastructure technologies such as VMWare, CISCO, NetApp, HPE, Palo Alto, FortiGate, Oracle Exadata, etc. Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate complex technical jargon into business terms that can be understood by a wide variety of stakeholders. Demonstrated experience operating within mature ITIL-based framework. Desirable qualifications Tertiary qualifications in IT or a related discipline. Vendor qualifications in relevant enterprise Infrastructure. Our offer
